Stay-to-Play Policy
Per our policy, all teams located more than 90 miles from the event venue are required to stay at one of our partner hotels, which can be found on the website under the “Hotels” tab in the top right corner. As a Stay-to-Play event provider, all teams and individual participants must complete hotel reservations through the official event website—not directly with the hotel.
Please note: Reservations made directly with a hotel partner will not count toward your team’s stay-to-play requirement.
To be in compliance, teams must secure a minimum of 56 room nights through our partner hotels by using the booking link provided in the registration confirmation email. If you did not receive this email, the booking link is also available on the tournament website.
Teams that do not meet the required room night minimum will be subject to an Alternative Lodging Surcharge, which ranges from $100 – $150 per player, per coach registered, depending on the event location.
If a team fulfills only a portion of the stay-to-play requirement, a prorated surcharge will be assessed based on the number of room nights secured.
This surcharge will be added to your registration 30 days prior to the tournament and is due no later than two weeks before the tournament start date. Once paid, the surcharge permits teams to stay at accommodations of their choice without further compliance obligations.
The following lodging options are not compliant with the Stay-to-Play policy and fall under the opt-out category:
- Staying with family or friends
- Camping
- Airbnb, VRBO, or timeshare accommodation
Additionally, the following booking methods will not count toward stay-to-play compliance and will result in the lodging surcharge being applied:
- Booking directly with the hotel
- Using third-party platforms (e.g., Hotels.com, Expedia, Hotwire, HotelPlanner)
- Booking with hotel rewards points, special discounts or rates (e.g., AAA, military, senior, government, or corporate rates)
Failure to meet stay-to-play requirements or pay the lodging surcharge will result in your team not being scheduled into the event.

Hotel partners for our 2027 Youth Nationals tournament locations will become available for booking in August–September 2026 through Event Connect.
Please note that, per our Stay-to-Play policy, all reservations must be made through Event Connect to count towards the compliance requirement. Any accommodations booked outside of Event Connect or directly with hotels will not be credited toward team compliance requirements.
All Youth Baseball Nationals events are STAY-TO-PLAY. In order to participate in the tournaments, all teams are required to book their lodging through Athletx Travel. Athletx Travel has secured specially discounted rates with the top properties in the area. If you choose not to book your lodging through Athletx Travel, you will be required to pay an alternative lodging fee. Contact [email protected] for alternative lodging inquiries. If you are considered local to an event (within 90 miles) please let us know so we can verify and get you noted as compliant. If within 2 weeks of the event, Athletx Travel will not be an option and the alternative lodging fee will automatically applied unless the team is considered local.
