Golden Eagle Regional Park

Located just to the east of Reno in Sparks, Nevada, the Golden Eagle Sports Complex is one of the premiere youth softball complexes in the country, a true gem! Your kids will love the beautiful synthetic turf, all-weather fields. The complex is comprised of 12 championship caliber diamonds, high-end Musco lighting, incredible playing surfaces and fantastic food options. The Nationals FanZones will be located in the center of the main 5-plex as well as in the center of the 4-plex and close to fields 5 and 6 as well providing the kids tons of fun between and after games with video game stations, product demo areas and so much more!

All 12 fields are fully synthetic turf surfaces. The synthetic turf provides true hops, much faster drainage and virtually no rain outs

Golden Eagle Regional Park Rules

For game play, we will follow ASA (Amateur Softball Association) rules with the exception of any specific in-house rules stated here and/or the Welcome Packet

Admission

Admission to all of the Youth Softball Nationals games is included in the team entry fees. There will be NO GATE FEE for the event! We encourage family and friends to come to the complex to cheer on the athletes and show their support.

Softball, Equipment and Uniforms

Game balls will be provided for all games.  Teams are to bring their own practice balls and any other necessary equipment (i.e. catcher’s gear, bats, gloves, etc.).  Uniforms are NOT provided at the Nationals. Teams are to provide their own uniforms.  Each player on a team should have a unique number displayed on their jersey.

Coolers

ONE (1) 5-gallon water jug filled with ice and water per team will be permitted in the dugout. Additional coolers and ice chests may not be brought into the complex by parents, coaches, players or spectators. Coolers designed to carry bottles or cans are not permitted. ONLY coolers designed to carry ice water will be permitted.

Dugout Access

ONLY registered coaches and players are allowed on the field and inside the dugouts. Teams are NOT permitted to have a batboy/batgirl at any time. Registered coaches are required to be wearing their Nationals coach pass at all times in order to be allowed on the field of play and inside the dugouts.

First Aid

The Nationals has a medical team that will be onsite for the duration of the event. It is important to remember that our medical team are not medical doctors. They will provide basic first aid, determine the severity of injuries and make recommendations as to whether or not a player should see a doctor or go to an emergency room. The staff are employees of the local hospital closest to the facility.

Facility Rules

  • Disorderly conduct and physical/verbal assault will not be tolerated and will result in expulsion from the park for the remainder of the tournament.
  • Pets are not permitted at the park.
  • ONE (1) 5-gallon water jug filled with ice and water per team will be permitted in the dugout. Additional coolers and ice chests may not be brought into the complex by parents, coaches, players or spectators. Coolers designed to carry bottles or cans are not permitted. ONLY coolers designed to carry ice water will be permitted.
  • Loudspeakers, sound systems are prohibited.
  • Private vehicles are prohibited on turf surfaces, sidewalks, service driveways and emergency zones. All vehicles must be in proper designated parking areas. Violators will be ticketed and towed at owner’s expense.
  • Overnight parking is prohibited.
  • Skateboards, scooters, bicycles or roller blades are prohibited.
  • No hitting of golf balls.
  • No staking of signs, banners, tents, shade, or umbrellas into the turf is allowed.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Grills or cookers are prohibited, including in facility parking lots.
  • Drinking of alcohol in the parking lots or bringing alcohol into the park is prohibited.
  • No fireworks or any open flame is allowed.
  • Gum, seeds, or nuts are prohibited.
  • No soft toss against permanent fencing/netting.

Game Warm-Ups

No warm-ups on the infields. All pre-game warm-ups will need to be made in the outfield grass. No soft-tossing into fences.

Parking

Parking is FREE and available at designated areas.  Be prepared to arrive early should you need to walk from parking lot to softball field. Limited shuttle service will be available, but we cannot guarantee that the shuttle will be available for your party when you arrive at the park. We are not responsible for any damaged vehicles, theft or loss of property.

Practices, Batting Cages

There are no designated practice areas at Golden Eagle Sports Park. However, teams are welcome to utilize any of the open areas at their discretion. Teams are not permitted to use an open game field for practice during the event. Golden Eagle Sports Park does not have batting cages.
