The Youth Softball Nationals is the premier youth girls fastpitch softball travel tournament in the nation! The Nationals is a week-long national tournament for 10U, 12U, 14U & 16U fastpitch teams played at the amazing, 30 million dollar Elizabethtown Sports Park in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, just south of Louisville, Kentucky and the home of Louisville Slugger. This new park, completed in July 2012, is bar none, the best youth softball complex in the country!
Free, exclusive, week-long passes to Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay, free passes to the Louisville Slugger bat factory and more will fill your players time off the diamonds with thrills and fun they’ll enjoy all week. This is the premier youth travel girls fastpitch softball event in the country. More than 40 teams had to be turned away last year because they did not register in time. Don’t let that happen to you!
There’s nothing quite like the Nationals in youth girls fastpitch softball. The event features teams from all over the country and world, each week. Each team plays 6-10 games during the week-long tournament. Schedules are carefully created from all submitted registrations to promote an even playing level with parity among participating teams. This is unique to the Nationals. We make every effort to create a tournament with true parity. Our objective is to promote an equal playing level within the field. At the very least, we aspire to match teams with equal historical success and classification in pool play games. We want to give every team a realistic opportunity to compete each and every time they take the field.
Another unique feature to the Youth Softball Nationals tournament is our exclusive Nationals All-Star game. After each pool play game, the head coach must nominate and rank 3 players from the opposing team for all-star selection. These nominations will be written on a Nationals All Star Nomination Card and given to the Tournament Director after each pool play game. There will be a total of 28 players selected in each age group divided evenly (14 each) between the two-formed teams. The selections for the All-Star game will be announced during the Awards Ceremony on Championship Thursday. Each player selected will be called to the podium and receive an award for their selection as well as an All-Star jersey to wear during the game and keep as a souvenir. The head coaches and coaching staff for the All-Star game will be the head coaches and their respective staff of the two teams that played in the championship game earlier that day. The atmosphere is electric during the games and is played in front of the largest crowds of the week!
All players and coaches will receive complimentary week long passes to the new Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay Amusement | Water Park! The NEW Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay, formerly a Six Flags theme park, re-opened in May of 2014, and is larger than ever, doubling the size of their water park. Players and coaches will also receive complimentary admission to the Louisville Slugger Bat Factory & Museum for an amazing look at the history of the official MLB bat and to catch a glimpse of today’s bats being made for the current stars of the game!
