Since 1884, The Hillerich & Bradsby Company has been the undeniable bat maker of choice for baseball and softball players the world over. From big-leaguers and Olympians to tee ball, their world renowned bat, the Louisville Slugger, has been crushing home runs for years.

Manufactured and sold out of a factory in Louisville since the late 1800′s, the museum and factory is the perfect inside look into the history and making of this national treasure and a must-see for any diamond sport enthusiast. We’re excited to be able to make this a part of your tournament experience!

Around your game schedule, take in the sights and sounds of several exhibits (see below) in the Slugger Museum and learn the step by step process that goes into making each legendary bat during the Slugger Factory tour.

World’s Largest Bat!

Standing at a mammoth 120 feet tall and weighing in at some 68,000 pounds, the World’s Biggest Bat greets visitors as they make their way into the factory/museum. This exact-scale replica of Babe Ruth’s 34-inch Louisville Slugger forged of American-made steel, gives visitors the perfect place to pose with a legend.

Glove Sculpture

Catch all the action in the giant 17 ton baseball glove. Made from Kentucky limestone over 400 million years old, it’s a kid favorite to explore whether they’re climbing, crawling or sliding. The glove sculpture is known simply as “Play Ball”.

Try Out The Bats In The Cage!

Check out the latest innovations in Louisville Slugger bats like their popular XENO elite fastpitch bat, the new LXT, the first ever 3-piece bat and the MENDOZA, the signature model of Olympic gold medalist and fastpitch star Jessica Mendoza.

Grand Slam Gallery

Visitors to the Grand Slam Gallery will learn how the very first Louisville Slugger Bat was made right here in Louisville back in 1884. Babe Ruth’s historic slugger bat that he carved 60 notches in for every home run he hit during his record-setting 1927 season is here on display. Hold bats that were actually used by some of baseball’s greatest including Mickey Mantle, Cal Ripken Jr., David Ortiz, and Johnny Bench.

The perfect spot for memorabilia and history buffs to get lost for hours searching for some of the game’s greatest treasures. You’ll find Joe DiMaggio’s bat from his 56-game hitting streak gracing you with its presence. Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Ken Griffey Jr., and Derek Jeter are here, immortalized, as amazing life-like sculptures. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to have a 90-mph fastball bearing down on you, you’ll get your chance as Cole Hamels delivers some high heat.

Theater

Stepping into the Louisville Slugger Theater is like taking a journey back in time. “The Heart of the Game”, a 13 minute baseball odyssey, takes audiences through the history of the game as told by legends of the game . You’ll hear from former greats Tony Gwynn and Johnny Bench on any and everything including the secrets of hitting and what it’s like to make it to the big leagues. Current players like Derek Jeter and the recently retired Ken Griffey, Jr. share they’re insights and experiences on being professional ball players and what the game has meant to them.

Factory Tour

Follow along with the making of a bat destined for the big leagues in this amazing guided tour through the actual factory as every step in the process is explained. You’ll learn how each bat still follows many of the same procedures and processes that has made it a legend since 1884.
